Вчора ввечері я ідентифікував і успішно проник в комутатор центру обробки даних Cisco, що належить Інституту системного аналізу РАН (ІСА РАН). Згідно з нашим аналізом, цей комутатор контролював всю їхню мережу та центр обробки даних, з’єднуючи їх 9 дослідницьких серверів і понад 100 пристроїв, розташованих у 40 різних лабораторіях. Все без будь-якої безпеки чи системи попередження!
Як не дивно, ІСА РАН є однією з провідних дослідницьких установ у Росії з дослідження штучного інтелекту та комп’ютерних систем. Навіть Офіс Президента є їхнім замовником, там працює багато поважних науковців. Проте вони були настільки зарозумілими, що навіть не потурбувалися захистити свою мережу. Тож ми дали їм ідеальне нагадування, щоб упокорилися!

If you've ever wondered if there are any intelligent Russian computer scientists out there, I am happy to announce that last night, we found the answer to this question: NO!
Last night, I identified and successfully penetrated a Cisco data center switch, belonging to the Institute for Systems Analysis of the Russian Academy of Sciences (ISA RAN). Based on our analysis, this switch controlled their entire network & data center, connecting their 9 research servers and 100+ devices spread across 40 different labs. All without any security, or warning system! I bricked the switch, demolishing their entire research environment - and we left a short message from us behind.
Strangely enough, the ISA RAS is one of the premier research institutions in Russia, for AI and computer systems research. Even the office of the President is their customer, and many esteemed scientists work there. Yet they were so arrogant, that they didn't even bother to protect their network. So we gave them a perfect reminder, to humble themselves!
