Operation Dark Fiber 5 - To ensure surprise through distraction, DF5 gave cover to three priority operations; Switchblade, OnHook and Kazimierz Pulaski by attacking hundreds of Rostelecom edge-routers right before the other attacks. A wide variety of router models and locations was chosen to create a "fog" of outages all over russia that would have the NOC and IT engineers busy when the real efforts took place. The mission was successful, the 3 primary missions were not disturbed during execution.
